Moral and Physical Perceptions

Just as we need light to see in darkness, we need light of truth to see through the darkness of ignorance. Most of the physical world is dark and lonely. There are stars here and there, but its mostly an empty dark lonely ever expanding space. Our inner world also moves between darknesses and light. Sometimes it has multiple darknesses, darkness within a darkness. Salah, as the Prophet said, "As salat un noor" (prayer is light). Our heart is like a universe. Without the inner light it is dark and lonely. Imagine an average salah gives light at the strength of 2 out of 10. lets say your best salah or prayer makes a strength makes a light of 4. Its effect remains for few hours. The light is like a candle its effect remains for sometime. As you pray each prayer the darkness gets filled with light.

The minimum amount of light needed to at least have some real perception is 5 prayers. Its like at least five small stars in the sky, or 5 small candles in the dark jungle. The Quran calls the Prophet like the sun, and Prophet calls his companions like the stars, and we are like little candles in front of darkness of our inner darkness Your Master says I am going to do you a favor, I will make each candle like 10 candles. So when the Prophet (saw) was in Miraaj the 50 prayers were reduced to 5, but with the same power. Imagine the blessing in each light lit in the fard salah, each light increases your moral perception, it lets you have greater spiritual perception. However, you need at least 5 of these candles that have the strength of 50 candles to have spiritual perception. After that every prayer is a like a single candle. You have to keep praying because the candles dry out. Iman increases and decreases, the light increases and deceases. Every day you have to light up the strength of 50 candles at the right time.

The morning candle is the candle of protection, its light will be carried by angels at your service. It has a special light to protect you from spiritual ills. The Noon prayer is lit to make your provisions easy to get. The afternoon prayer is the candle you carry with you all the time. The sunset prayer is lit for protection against shaytan (devil) and his army specifically, and the night prayer is for the light of sincerity.
